Sargent Jaime Costas with the Fort Lauderdale Florida Police department threatened to arrest me when I tried to have my Stalking Criminal Complaint supplemented.
I was threatened with an arrest for no reason by a Fort Lauderdale police officer.
Recently July 12, 2021 I went to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department in Broward County Florida and filed a Police Report about being Stalked and harassed by a woman that goes by the name of Amber Nightingale. I also claimed in the police report that she provided false information to law enforcement in Elizabethtown Pennsylvania regarding me stalking her.
If you want to know why I filed a police report in Fort Lauderdale for a false charge of stalking that I have with Amber Nightingale and the Elizabethtown Pennsylvania Police Department then please read this blog I wrote called I am a Florida resident and I have a False Arrest for Stalking in Elizabethtown Pennsylvania.
In the police report that I filed July 12th 2020 it was supposed to list the names of two police officers that helped Amber Nightingale stalk me from April 1st, 2017 up until my arrest for a false charge of stalking on December 11, 2020. I am unaware if the two Elizabethtown Pennsylvania police officers knowingly helped her stalk me, but I do know Detective Ryan who is my arresting detective verbally told me over the phone that he stands by her claims on my probable cause affidavit as true and factual 100% even after I pointed out that some of her claims were lies.
When I went back to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department to pick up my police report a week after I filed it. My report was not right. Below here is the report that is not right.
Sergeant Jamie Costas was already aware of my case when he spoke to me on July 21, 2021 in his office in the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, because it says above here on my case supplement report that he was the supervisor that read and approved the documents I added to my case.
My first case supplement that Costas approved was a five-page fax that I had sent to the Elizabethtown Pennsylvania Police Department on February 22nd, 2021. In the five page fax I explained to Chief of Police Cunningham, who received it, that Amber Nightingale had lied in my probable cause affidated. I was told verbally from Cunningham over the phone he would look into my claim that she had provided false information to law enforcement and he told me he would get back to me.
Unfortunately Cunningham never got back to me. Even after I emailed him and called him and left voicemails. He still never got back to me. That's why I submitted the five Page letter I had faxed him on February 22nd. to be added to my Stalking case in Florida. The letter that he refused to investigate.
Recently when I went to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department July 21 to supplement my Stalking Police report is when I was threatened with being arrested. What I went through when I was threatened with being arrested makes me wonder if it was all intentionally done to me. Meaning the way Costas harassed me was it possibly intentionally done to see if he could get a rise out of me.
His behavior with the police force has been spoken about in a bad light in a lot of articles I've read over the internet. So his actions spoke loudly to me.
As I sat in the Fort Lauderdale Police Department waiting room on July 21 a man , whose name I'm unaware of, that was working with Sergeant Jamie Costas brought the front page of my report to the sergeant and then the sergeant came to me with him and Costas asked me to come into his office to speak to me about why I wanted to supplement my report.
I got into his office and I explained to him that I'm not a stripper and I don't work at Tootsie’s Strip Club in Miami. I pointed out there were many other reasons why my report needs to be supplemented. While sitting there speaking to Costas he was occasionally screaming at me and drilling me from the way I felt he was treating me.
He told me I didn't say something that I said when I know I said it. He treated me like I was a criminal. I told him that the two officers mentioned in my probable cause affidated with the Elizabethtown Pennsylvania Police, I suspect the two cops we're helping her stalk me.
After I said this Sergeant Jamie Costas screamed at me like a drill sergeant in the Army would, “Get Out Of My Office!”
After he screamed at me get out of my office I asked him, “Well, are you still going to supplement my report?”
About 30 seconds after Jamie told me to get out of his office and after I asked him if he was still going to supplement my police report. Costas then screamed once again at me, “If You Don't Get Out Of My Office Now, I'm Going To Arrest You!”
Meanwhile after he screamed at me get out of his office and he screaming at me how he was going to arrest me, I jumped up like a rabbit and ran for the door to get out of his office. When I was leaving his office and walking through the hallway he was 10 inches from me the whole way. I could almost feel his breath on my neck he was so close to me.
I thought there is supposed to be a 6-ft distance between people because currently there's a coronavirus pandemic on going and has been since March 2020, but Costas didn't keep that distance. The way I was treated by Costas was very unprofessional of him and his behavior scared me immensely.
I told him before I left the police department that I would call internal affairs because by law I have a right to have my case supplemented if it's not right. I said to him I want to get the number for internal affairs while he stood next to me at the office window in the Fort Lauderdale Police Department demanding I leave now!
He then grabbed a pen and wrote down the Internal Affairs phone number for me on a little yellow sticky note paper which I later threw away while I was there in the police department. I walked out of the department and walked back in and wrote down the number for Internal Affairs myself when Costas walked about 20 ft away from me.
When I re-entered into the Fort Lauderdale Police Department Costas just ran back up to me and started screaming at me again in a threatening manner, “What Are You Doing Back In The Police Department?!”
I was in so much fear during this time when I re-entered the Police Department that I couldn't even look at Costas. All I could do is in fear look down the whole time at the floor after I had re-entered into the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and Costas started screaming at me again.
I grabbed the pen from the Front Desk and wrote down the internal affairs phone number on a large piece of paper that I had brought with me. I then put the pin down without looking up at Costas and then I turned around and walked out of the police department with my Internal Affairs police phone number I wrote down.
I then threw away the yellow sticky note paper that Costas gave me because I didn't want to lose it because it was very tiny and I suspected it could fly off and I could possibly lose it. Then I went home.
I did call Internal Affairs that same day and they did look into my claim that I was harassed and threatened with an arrest for no reason by their Sergeant Jamie Costas.
Jamie Costas has been a police officer in Florida for a couple of decades now. I didn't know much about who this person was until I started looking online and reading articles that speak about him and what he's been involved with while he's been an officer in the state of Florida.
I also read that Jamie Costas has been investigated by Internal Affairs before and it's not his first rodeo with Internal Affairs regarding my Stalking case. I found out that Jamie Costas and friend who was his partner were investigated by internal affairs because when the two arrested an individual during the arrest of this individual his partner threatened the individual's life not directly, but by saying that he should have shot him when he was commenting so to his partner Jamie Costas.

I was also surprised to find out that Costas ran over and killed a bicyclist. The bicyclist died after receiving injuries from police Sergeant Jamie Costas patrol car that was driving West on East Las olas boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Costas to me when I was being harassed and screamed at, came off as mentally unstable. I also commented so to Internal Affairs. So I was unaware of who Costas was until I looked later on social media and read articles about his career as a police officer in Florida.
I'm very grateful for Internal Affairs at the Fort Lauderdale Police Department because they cleared up my issues with their Sergeant Costas. My battle is only begin with the Judicial System. I still have to have the Department of Justice open up an investigation and investigate the Elizabethtown Pennsylvania Police Department for their involvement with putting a false charge of stalking on me.
I have another blog coming out next week about my supplemented police report. I'm going to be letting you all know what was said in my supplemented police report with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
My Civil Rights were violated by the Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania Police Department and I plan on getting Justice. I will get Justice within the judicial system meanwhile my fight for justice has just begun!
